Whole Wheat Waffles

1 ½ C. Whole Wheat Flour

2 t. baking powder

½ t. salt

2 T. sugar

1 large egg

1 ½ C. lukewarm milk

1/3 C. Sunflower Oil

Preheat waffle iron while you make the batter. Whisk together the dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients, then add to the dry ingredients, stirring just until combined. The batter will be lumpy but that’s ok. Pour batter onto hot waffle iron and cook for 2-5 minutes, depending upon waffle iron. Yield:  3 generous round Belgian-style (deep pocket) 7” waffles.
