Caramel Bars
CARAMEL MIXTURE

14 oz bag of KRAFT caramels

3 Tbs of heavy whipping cream

4 Tbs of butter
Melt in microwave or double boiler.
CRUMB MIXTURE

1/4 c butter, melted
-
1/2 c + 1 Tbs Smude's Sunflower Oil

1 cup flour
-
1 cup quick minute oatmeal

3/4 cup brown sugar
-
1 tsp baking soda
-
1 tsp salt

6 oz mini chocolate chips
1. In a bowl, mix 1/4 cup butter (melted), 1/2 cup Smude's Sunflower Oil, 1 cup flour, 1 cup oatmeal, 3/4 c brown sugar, 1 tsp baking soda & 1 tsp salt.
2. Mix well and put 3/4 of the mixture into greased 9x13 air-bake pan, pat and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees or until lightly brown.
3. Remove and pour on caramel mixture, spreading evenly. Sprinkle 6 oz of mini chocolate chips over the caramel layer.
4. Then evenly distribute remaining crumb mixtures on top.
5. Bake another 15 minutes. Cut while still warm. (VERY IMPORTANT)
